Culture@ASU Posters Spring 2022

Project for Culture@ASU

The propose of this project was to create posters to promote and celebrate the Heritage Months and Awareness Weeks that occurred during the Spring 2022 semester.

The goal was to have the posters represent the event as well as promote it. The posters were displayed across all for Arizona State University campuses to inform students about the current celebration happening. When the QR codes on the posters are scanned, they lead to a website with the list of events happening throughout the month or the week.

Interfaith Harmony Week

Interfaith Harmony Week is a celebration of the many worldviews, faiths, spiritualities, and beliefs in our community. Observed the first week of February, this week promotes unity by encouraging people to explore and learn about worldviews outside of their own.

Women's HERstory Month

Women's HERstory month is dedicated to increasing the visibility of all women and women-identified people in the ASU community. During March, ASU brings together clubs, organizations and community members to not only celebrate women, but highlight the issues impacting women on campus and beyond.

Indigenous Culture Week

Indigenous Culture Week seeks to celebrate the Indigenous people of this land and promote the Indigneous voices around the world. The goal of Indigenous Culture Week is to bring our community together to educate, celebrate and share ideas, values, and traditions across all four campuses.

Pride Week

Pride Week at ASU celebrates LGBTQIA+ identities and educates the community on their experience. Through diverse programming and providing services to students, the week advocates for social justice concerns while connecting students, faculty, and staff to each other and the broader ASU community.

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

ASU observes Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month during the month of April by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander communities.

Black History Month

Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of blacks in U.S. history. ASU celebrates Black History Month by honoring the rich culture and history through a variety of student-led educational and engaging programs.
